Is that your final answer?

So I went to see Slumdog Millionaire last night because of all the award-season 'hoop la' surrounding it, and because I had no idea how a movie based on the hit American show 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?' could possibly be an Oscar contender. Boy, was I proven wrong.

The film was shot mostly in Mumbai, and is one of the most beautiful and heart-wrenching stories. Without giving too much away, the ultimate prize at the end was worth so much more than the $1,000,000, and that's what makes the premise of the movie:
L. O. V. E, so telling. I highly recommend this movie, especially before the Oscars air, because I have a feeling Slumdog is going to win it all.

I've been wanting to see that movie since before Christmas time and still haven't gotten around to it! There is an indie theater a mile from my house and all the goodies are playing there. I saw Milk last weekend and it was proably the best movie I've seen in years. If you haven't seen that one yet, you should. Harvey Milk is such a lovable, noble character, no matter what you think about gay rights. And it's really sad to watch everything and think that even though it's been 30 years since the events took place not much has changed. I recommend that as your next movie viewing.
