Fun thing I just posted on facebook. Thought you guys might enjoy! :)
25 Things you may not know about me......
1) I love my family more than anything in the whole world, and it's really, really hard for me to be far away from them.
2) My mom is one of my closest and best friends, and she's my favorite person to shop with.
3) I love a good bargain, and I'm mildly obsessed with Forever 21. I have an eye for finding pieces that don't look '21-ish' and I just love the look on people's faces when they ask where I got my dress and I say Forever, and their jaws drop. "No way!"
4) I get a two-piece from Target every year from my mom for my birthday. I love it, because even though I can't wear it for months, I make sure that when I can, I look damn good in it.
5) I love, love, love being tan, but I have never been to a tanning bed or had a spray tan and probably never will.
6) I'm mildly claustrophobic, and I hate elevators. When I was in New York, if I was ever faced to ride one alone, I waited until someone had to ride in it, too. I also can't talk inside of them until it reaches its destination. Most of the time, I'm holding my hands together and taking big, long breaths praying I don't plunge to my death. I know, I'm weird.
7) I don't think I've ever really been in love. Looking back, I think it was just lust or a game that I desperately wanted to win.
8) I would much rather take an exercise class, like aerobics, cardio jam or kick-boxing, than spend an hour in the gym
9) I swam competitively for 13 years, but I haven't raced someone in over four years. The urge is starting to come back. Any takers?
10) Whenever "Brown Eyed Girl" comes on, and I'm with my dad, we always lock eyes and immediately head to the dance floor. It will probably be our song at my wedding.
11) Lately, I've been thinking a lot more about a "destination wedding." If I could pick, it would probably be in Hope Town, which is in the Abaco's (a chain of islands in the Bahamas). My family and I vacationed there for 10 summers growing up. I think it's one of the most beautiful places in the world.
12) There is no doubt that my wedding will be entirely pink (sorry future hubby). I'm debating whether or not I want a pink dress, or just accents.
13) Ever since I moved away to college, my younger brother, Justin, and I became a lot closer. We talk a lot more about everything, and I think he's such a cool kid. Love you J-Bird!
14) I love my blog, and I really hope people enjoying reading it. I write and write and never know if it's mildly interesting to anyone but me, but it makes me happy and that's all I care about. I also can't start my day without reading all of my favorite blogs, it usually takes me about an hour.
15) Once I've made a name for myself and saved up enough money, I want to try living in New York City again.
16) When I was little, I use to "run away" to Joanie's apartment (my grand-mother) and my mom would drive me, and we would play dress up and Twister for hours. She's 4'10 and I could fit into her all of her shoes and clothes. At the time, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world, and I will forever cherish those memories.
17) When I was 10, my cousin, Jen, gave me the distinct honor of being her daughter's god-mother. Yes, people, I am a real life fairy god-mother.
18) I have several friends that I am still very close with that I have known since I was four years old, and I think that it so special. Love you girls!
19) I never, ever thought I would find a group of girls in college that I was as close with as my high school girlies. I can proudly say that I did, and I love introducing them to one another. I feel so blessed to have several groups of friends, and that they can all co-exist happily.
20) Furthermore, I never thought I would find a home away from home. As cheesy as it is, Chi Omega was exactly that. Some of my most cherished memories, are the two years I lived in the house. Looking back, I wished I lived there my senior year, but I wouldn't trade the girls I lived with in the Orange and Blue house for the world. We had a little too much fun our senior year, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
21) I feel like I'm killing brain cells admitting this, but some of my favorite TV shows are reality shows. The City, The Real Housewives, The Real World, Rock of Love, Tool Academy, Jon & Kate....you name it. I probably have seen it, and watch it as regularly as I can.
22) I love to write. It's one of the only things that I can admit I'm good at, and I really, really hope that someday I am paid to write about the things I love, which include but are not limited to, fashion, beauty, makeup, TV, movies, entertainment, real life heroes, profile stories, and many more I can't think of at the moment. I want my own column someday.
23) I love cruises. I went on one every Spring Break in high school with my family, and three out of the four SB's in college with my friends. There's nothing better to me than unpacking once, throwing my bathing-suit on immediately, heading to the bar, grabbing a lounge chair by the pool and doing absolutely nothing for a week. The only thing I hate are the damn fire-drills, which I try to avoid year after year, but always get caught.
24) I love living in Texas, because for some reason I feel like I'm getting back to my roots. I was born in Houston, and I'm kind of sad my parents ever left. In fact, I'm trying to convince them to move back. The weather here is very comparable to Tampa (minus the humidity), and as soon as I got here, I felt right at home. Everyone here is so friendly, and I've heard so many times that once you move here, you stay for life. I'm starting to see why. You guys have got to come visit to see what I mean.
25) I love to love and be loved, and I can't wait to fall in love someday. I can't watch The Notebook without secretly hoping that someday, someone says to me, (in some sort of Noah's version to Allie): "So it's not gonna be easy. It's gonna be really hard. We're gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, for ever, you and me, every day."
